MY SPECIALTIES
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Individual therapy is catered to your needs. We will meet weekly/biweekly to address personal goals that align with what you wish to manage, change, or explore. My approach is warm but direct. I will challenge you while holding your hand and offering emotional support. Sessions will typically occur between 50-60 minutes. In-person and teletherapy available.
DEPRESSION
Depression is hard. It's the equivalent of a weighted blanket holding you down and encouraging you to avoid everything. I utilize CBT to help you manage your depression effectively so that you are not caught under that blanket.
ANXIETY
Excessive worrying, hyperventilation, ruminating and obsessive thinking are just a few symptoms of anxiety. I use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you regulate these symptoms and learn how to take that power back when you feel out of control.
LGBTQIA+
I am trained, affirming, and part of the community. I facilitate by having difficult conversations, confronting uncomfortable emotions and establishing self-confidence.
WOMEN'S ISSUES
There are specific issues a woman faces that are difficult to discuss with others in our lives. Infertility, post-partum, relationship challenges, societal pressures and hormonal changes, to name a few. I offer a space to explore and process the emotions triggered by these issues.
STRESS & TRAUMA
Stress is a silent disease that if left unchecked, can directly affect our physical well-being. It is also a symptom of unresolved trauma. I utilize CBT to process traumatic events and teach skills to minimize distress.
GRIEF
Grief is infinite. It's a difficult emotion to navigate but I educate about the tasks of mourning and provide space to allow grief to exist authentically.
ANGER MANAGEMENT
Anger is the result of underlying emotions. I specifically work with you to identify what those emotions are and where they come from. You will learn appropriate coping strategies to minimize anger outbursts.
NEURODIVERGENT
To be neurodivergent is to be neurospicy. Whether you have ADHD or if you're on the Autism spectrum, I am here to affirm you. I will help you develop ways to address those trickier aspects such as social anxiety, paralysis, and overstimulation.
